FND Specialists from around the world come together to talk about treatment, research and hope for FND. Join us and others from around the globe as we engage in an online discussion about Functional Neurological Disorder.

Webinars are open to Patients, Carers, Medical Professionals or anyone wanting to learn more about FND. The webinars are often available live on our open Facebook profile and later added to the FND Hope YouTube channel. Most live webinars offer a Q and A portion. Dr. LaFaver is the Director of the Movement Disorders Clinic and Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Louisville. She completed a Neurology Residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and Movement disorder fellowships at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. About:

Professor Jon Stone is a Consultant Neurologist and Honorary Reader in Neurology University of Edinburgh (2005-), NHS Scotland National Research Strategy Career Fellow (2012-current) and has been involved with research on functional symptoms in neurology since 1999.  “These are genuine symptoms which relate to a problem in nervous system functioning rather than disease. They are also described as dissociative symptoms, psychogenic symptoms and conversion disorder – all these terms describe a real, distressing and often physically disabling problem.”

Professor Stone’s PhD was a case control study of functional weakness. He continued to work in this field later becoming an advisor to the DSM-5 and ICD-11 on this topic.
