Hello, my name is Sarah. In 2018 my life changed, I was in pain all the time, my body turned against me, I couldn’t walk, I stuttered through sentences, lost my job, lost friends and my independence. Three months later I was diagnosed with function neurological disorder. Since then it’s been a bumpy ride, more symptoms have been thrown into the mix, I’ve often felt hopeless and my life has changed in a way I never could have possibly imagined but I am slowly learning how to adapt to this new way of life.
Earlier this year I started a YouTube channel called SassyFNDLife to help raise awareness and provide my personal experiences in the hope they may help other FND warriors through their journeys and give them some comfort by reminding them they’re not alone. This led to me wanting to do more to spread awareness of this often debilitating disorder.
I’ve made greeting cards for family and friends for many years now and decided to up my game and make a mixture of cards and decorations for two Christmas fayre’s, where I will hold a stall and be selling my creations to fundraise for FND Hope UK.
Christmas is my favourite time of year, so I plan to spread plenty of Christmas joy while raising as much awareness for FND as I can!
Come find me at Challock Village Hall, Ashford on the 21st of November and Ellington Park, Ramsgate on the 5th of December.
