Volunteer Opportunities
Online Peer Support Volunteer
FND Hope UK create Online Peer Support Groups that people who have been diagnosed with FND can attend and feel comfortable doing so. We need volunteers to support and facilitate these Peer Support Group meetings not only by sharing their own experience of FND but by encouraging active peer to peer support and relationships. What’s more this activity promotes awareness of FND and identifies helpful knowledge resources that can be collected and used for the benefit all our FND community.
We are looking for people who can help facilitate the following groups
- London 1st Tues of each month at 11.30am
- England 1st Thursday of each month at 10.00am
- England 2nd Tuesday of each month at 1pm
- Scotland 3rd Wednesday of every other month at 7pm
- England 4th Monday of each month at 7pm
Volunteer Qualifications & Skills:
- Positive Attitude with a flexible schedule
- Experience in facilitating group discussions in general
- Interest in promoting the mission of FND Hope UK and in helping the FND community
- Lived experience of FND
- A willingness to positively share your own life experiences
- Availability and commitment to approximately 20 – 25 total working hours per year
- Experience of using Zoom
